2008 marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of PENINSULA REVIEWS. To commemorate this anniversary, we have decided that our site needed a design makeover. Therefore, we hope you will enjoy the new format with its less cluttered look.
We have added a new search capability, so that by entering the key word of a performer or the presenter, searching older reviews will be easier than in the past. However, there is considerable manual programming needed to transfer all of the older and archived reviews to the newer format. Therefore PENINSULA REVIEWS will be a work in progress for the next several weeks.
Online Reviews, unlike print media reviews, stay online indefinitely, and for this reason, our philosophy leans toward describing what took place at a spontaneous live musical event, rather than judging the performance qualities in comparison with commercially recorded CDs where perfection is achieved under the most controlled (and not always the most natural concert hall) conditions.
